Hiking on Methana`s paths is still an adventure. The maintenance in 2002 is long ago and most of the paths are closed by vegetation again. So take this map as a rough orientation only. It is disappointing that the municipality of Troezen-Methana did not show a serious interest in the creation and maintenance of the hiking path net of Methana. Even the conference about the geo-tourism in 2016 did not change the situation. The municipality preferred an "virtual" system to show the peninsula in an "virtual museum" they want to create. Sure - hiking in real life is strenuous... Due to an young friend of mine, there is hope, that he and some people from Methana will re-open the most hiking paths. Already some important routes are accessible again.
