The fishing port of Vathy is certainly the port of the ancient Methanites people, since the Acropolis and town of the ancient Methanas were also not far away. Today the port is popular with sailors and all those who like to eat fresh seafood. All taverns in Vathy can be recommended and there are even overnight accommodations. It is also not far from Vathy to the historic volcano of Kameni Chora.
