It is hard to understand why such a region has been neglected for so many decades.

Maybe that's a good thing?

Because mass tourism has managed to destroy Santorini island. That wouldn't be good for Methana. The protection of this region should be the primary objective of the local authorities, because that is the treasure of the region!

Hiking in this landscape for example is very special!
