Malia Vgethi volcano

The lava dome of Malia Vgethi is located south of the historic volcano of Kameni Chora and clearly overlooks the northwest coast of Methana from the sea. Below him on the eastern slope is the deserted village of "Sterna Gambrou" with the chapel of Agios Sotiros. The ascent to its summit is very exhausting as there is no way. The best way to climb on the slope opposite the small chapel. From the top you have a perfect view of the Krasopanagia Cape and the historic lava dome of Kameni Chora. The volcano is one of the largest on the peninsula.
