The volcano Malia Gliati

The lava dome of Malia Gliati is one of the most striking volcanoes in Methana. It shapes the landscape of the peninsula together with the lava dome Malia Skourti. It is actually a double peak, which means that its eruption center has shifted. There must also have been a strong tectonic stress, from which part of the mountain has slipped.
