The eruption at Agios Andreas chapel

Next to the historic volcano at Kameni Chora and about 300 m west of it, there is a little eruption center next to the orthodox chapel of Agios Andreas. The small "crater" / "lava dome" can be seen best from a boat. About 400 m south of it there are many lavaflows which were comming out of karstic faults and caves. North of this little volcano there are about 4-7 submarine lava domes, about 1-2 km from this point. Probably the pumice that covers the fields of the cape Kalo Koumbaro are related to these submarine eruptions.
