Lava flows in the karst mountains near Agios Andreas

In the forest near Kameni Chora there are numerous faults and cracks in the limestone mountains, from which lava flowed thousands of years ago. Perhaps that happened at the same time as the small lava dome near the Agios Andreas chapel was active below? Definitely a unique geological phenomenon! In the lava flows one can also find fritted limestone blocks that have been burned by the heat of the lava.
