The summit of Chelona volcano

The summit of the Chelona volcano is at an altitude of about 738-740 m and the same time it is the highest point of the peninsula Methana. It could have been be a split eruption, or there are multiple eruption centers that are experiencing a fault line? In any case, this volcano is one of the oldest volcanoes on the peninsula. Maybe it is also the edge of an older caldera? In any case, it is one of the most beautiful places of the peninsula Methana, which is accessible via the hiking trail C (green signs). There are several plateaus around the summit, on with ancient or prehistoric buildings can be discovered.
