The Loutesa volcano

The volcano Loutesa is one of the largest and oldest volcanoes in Methana. If you look at the city of Methana, it is always the dominant mountain. On its north side there is the plateau of the same name with numerous, ancient cisterns ("Loutses"), where you can find tree frogs with a little luck. The volcano belongs to a chain of volcanoes (Chionesa, Chelona, Tsouka, etc.) and was probably the southern edge of the former caldera (?).
