Roman bath in Thiafi Bay

Roman baths or ancient industrial plant?

In the Thiafi Bay, where the Mofetta gas out, the forces of volcanism were used in ancient times. If you walk down the fieldstreet into the bay, there is an interesting archaeological excavation on the right in the terrace fields about 50 m before the beach. It could be a Roman bath or an alum extraction facility. Maybe there were even hot thermal springs here in ancient times? Older building remains were inserted into the building. For example, one has inserted one of the typical perforated stones that served as abutments for wine presses. At the top of the path there is a similarly worked rock on the right side between the olive trees.
